Booking hotels through Stamkay Logistics

We book hotels the same way we book flights — with someone actually reading your enquiry. That matters because a hotel's listed location on a map often doesn't match the practical location for a Nigerian traveller: the difference between "5 minutes from Burj Khalifa" (across an 8-lane road) and "5 minutes walk to Dubai Mall entrance" is a real one.

Where to stay: quick neighbourhood picks

  • Lagos (business): Victoria Island and Ikoyi for meetings; Lekki Phase 1 for a quieter base with easier weekend traffic.
  • Abuja (business): Central Business District (Maitama, Wuse 2) for government meetings; Jabi and Utako for family stays with easier restaurant access.
  • Dubai (first-timer): Downtown Dubai or Dubai Marina — walkable, safe, close to the iconic sights. See our first-time Dubai guide.
  • London: Paddington and Bayswater for good tube access and Nigerian-friendly restaurants; Kensington for calmer streets and family-size flats.
  • Istanbul: Sultanahmet for the historic sights; Beyoğlu / Taksim for modern Istanbul and evening life.

What "best-rate guarantee" actually means

When we say best-rate guarantee, we mean we compare direct hotel rates, contracted wholesale rates and the public OTA price at the time of booking, and quote you the lowest usable option — factoring in the cancellation policy, deposit rules and breakfast/board inclusions. A rate that's ₦8,000 cheaper but non-refundable is not always the winner.

Deposits and cancellation

  • Refundable rates usually free-cancel until 24–72 hours before check-in.
  • Non-refundable rates save 10–20% but charge in full at booking. We only recommend these once your visa is issued and travel dates are locked.
  • Long-stay and family bookings often have separate cancellation windows — we highlight these before you confirm.

Common issues we prevent

  • Booking a hotel that doesn't accept the guest's ID type (e.g. driver's licence only, no passport).
  • Booking on a Nigerian card that the hotel later declines at check-in — we pre-authorise where needed.
  • Booking a "3-star" property that's actually a serviced apartment without daily housekeeping.
